Meet Our Minister –  David Salisbury

I came to work in Henderson as the pulpit minister in July of 2013. Before that, I lived and worked in Tennessee and had been preaching for 18 years. I love learning truth from God’s Word and sharing it with others. I think the Bible is a practical book that is full of wisdom and I continue to be amazed at all the things there are to learn in the pages of God’s Word about life and faith. I love the church and I think it is the most wonderful job in the world to work with God’s people and share the gospel with our community.

My greatest passion, however, is for my wife and children. Heather and I met in college and she is the best partner in ministry and in life that I could ever ask for. We have three children, Abby, Darby, and Will and I love them dearly and learn from them daily.

When I am not spending time with my family or my church family, I enjoy watching a good football game or doing some woodwork in my shop. Heather loves to read and work on craft projects in the small amount of spare time she has.

We are excited to be serving the church in Henderson and we enjoy being an active part of our community as we work to make a difference here.

My name is Nathan Woolard. I am originally from Siler City, North Carolina, which was home to Andy Griffith’s Aunt Bee, and am the youngest in a family of four siblings. I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible in May of 2016 and began working as the Youth and Family Minister for this congregation in July of 2016. I am married to Julianna Rose Woolard.

Youth and family ministry is a passion of mine that I believe can truly help all who are involved grow closer to our wonderful God. My concept of ministry is not simply made up of fun and entertainment (although these are important) but is focused around relationships. Ministry should strengthen our relationships with our Lord, with one another and should help all involved become more like Christ, the perfect example in this world. I am extremely blessed and thankful to be able to be involved in such a wonderful work.

For those that know me, I am also a huge fan of superheroes and having fun! I enjoy playing most sports, especially tennis, and I love going to see movies (so long as they are clean). My favorite superhero would have to be Superman and my favorite movie would have to be Rocky 4.

If you have any questions about anything at all please feel free to contact me at the email address provided below and please feel free to come by the Henderson Church of Christ to visit and learn about our awesome God!
